Deloris Yates
Deloris Yates, 86, of Elkview went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.
Deloris enjoyed cooking, and baking and took great pleasure in preparing meals and baked goods for her family and loved ones. She cherished the time spent with those she loved and will be remembered for her caring nature and devotion to her family. Deloris was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Apostolic Church and then The River Church in Pinch for more than 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Yates, Sr.; her son Clarence “Bob” Yates, Jr.; parents, Howard Crouch, and Ethel Crouch; along with 10 siblings.
Deloris leaves behind her daughter, Diana Bounds (Samuel) of Elkview; son, Jeff Yates (Kathy) of Elkview; brother, Melvin Crouch of Elkview; and sister, Patricia Ledsome of Pamona Park, FL.; as well as nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at The River Church in Pinch with Pastor Samuel Bounds, Sr. and Pastor Samuel Bounds, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Dunbar.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at The River Church. 636 Quick Road, Elkview, WV 25071.
