Mr. Robert L. “Bob” Witt, 88, of Poca, entered this life on October 18, 1937, and passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Mr. Witt was a retired employee of American Viscose and a proud United States Army veteran. He enjoyed working outdoors, tending to his garden, and mowing grass. He was a member of Red Oak Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Moulton and Minerva Cobb Witt, along with several siblings Lovell Witt, Bill Witt, Dayton Witt, and Lorine Allison.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mrs. Faye Witt; his children, Ty (Peggy) Witt of Eleanor, Shenna (Robert) Barcomb of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Cris Witt of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his brother, Gene Witt of Ripley; four grandchildren, Moriah Barcomb of Lewiston, Maine, Krystl (Derek) Stern of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Morgan Barcomb of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Christian Vorndran of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A tribute to the life of Mr. Robert Witt will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Boggess officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
