Charles “Ed” Price, 73, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, passed away June 17, 2026, at Pine View Nursing Center in Harrisville, WV, after an extended illness.
He was born on August 24, 1952, in Charleston, WV, to the late Cleon Price and Doris Haddox Price Carper.
He worked as a trucker driver and heavy equipment operator a large part of his life. He was the owner of Ed’s Long Rifle and built muzzleloader rifles. He enjoyed hunting and fishing until his health hindered him from doing so. He was an avid sports and NASCAR fan, being partial to WVU Mountaineers, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, and the late Dale Earnhardt Senior.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Rhonda Sturm Price, daughter Jennifer Price of Parkersburg, sister Patty (Tim) Schoolcraft of Gandeeville, a brother Mike (Pat) Price of Spencer and several nephews. A special “grand dog” Aggie aka “fuzzy tail.”
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Rebecca Carpenter, brother in law Mike Carpenter, an infant sister and step father Kirby Carper.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 1440 Arnoldsburg Road, Arnoldsburg, WV 25234 with Rev. Jeff Moales officiating.
