Mr. Troy Ray Sayre, 55, of Nitro, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Troy was a retired member of Laborers’ Local #1353. He enjoyed antique cars, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his appreciation for classic automobiles, and the many memories he shared with those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Ann Sayre.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Paul Sayre; his aunts, Sue Sayre, Joyce Ann Ford, and Peggy Sayre; along with a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A tribute to Troy’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Parsons officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
