James William Burdette, 77, of Elkview, West Virginia, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at his home.
He was born October 2, 1948, in Clendenin, WV, a son of the late William Otmer and Goldie Shafer Burdette.
In addition his parents, he is preceded in death by step-son, Jarvis Meadows.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Renee Burdette; sisters Mary Bird and Martha Holbert; brother, Henry Burdette; daughter, Lisa Monroe; son, Brian Burdette; step-daughter, Kelly Miller; grandchildren, Monica Kidd, Dave Haas, Jr., Kyle Monroe, Josh Monroe, Joey Monroe, Kelsie Hall, and Korby Vance; and several great-grandchildren.
Jim was known as Mr. Fix-It for his ability to use his creativity to figure out a way to make anything work.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service scheduled at this time.
