Brian Bakanas

Brian Peter Bakanas, of Cross Lanes, WV born on April 6, 1963, to Raymond and Eileen Bakanas, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, passed this life January 26, 2026.

He leaves behind his wife, Carol Daub, four dogs: Mike, Gracie, Ellie, and Molly, and five cats. He also leaves behind his mother Eileen Bakanas and mother-in-law Florence Daub to join his father Raymond and his beloved dog, Belle.

Surviving are his siblings, Anna Marie Hicks, Michael Bakanas (Cindy), Diate Katz (David), Stephen Bakanas (Lisa), and Paul Bakanas (Denise). Brian has twelve nieces and nephews and two great-nephews.

Brian was employes by the Terradon Corporation as a licensed surveyor for 25 years.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Nitro, WV at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with Father Chapin officiating. There will be visitation from 11:00 am till 12:00 pm at the church.
