June Marie Coleman (née Walters) went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 31, 2026. She was lovingly welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, Danny; and her parents, Mary and Clyde Walters.
June leaves behind a legacy of deep love and devotion through her children: April Slack; Chad Cavender and his wife, Sharmel; and Justin Cavender. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Heather, Jake, Kayla, Caleb, Phillip, Ethan, Elijah, Essence, and Ezekiel, and a cherished great-grandmother to nine precious great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
June’s love for her family knew no limits—it was the greatest joy of her life and the center of her world. She especially treasured reading to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories filled with warmth, comfort, and love that will live on in their hearts.
A devoted dog groomer by trade, June spent many years doing work she truly loved. She was a longtime groomer at Riptide Groomers in Saint Albans, where her gentle spirit, kindness, and dedication were evident in everything she did. Her care extended not only to animals, but to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
June will be remembered for her faith, her compassion, her quiet strength, and her boundless love. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the presence of her Savior.
Visitation for June will be on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Tornado Apostolic Church, 1100 Gore Addition Road, Tornado, WV 25202. June’s funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm that same evening st Tornado Apostolic Church with Rev. Wilson Hudson officiating.
