Mr. Michael Alan “Mike” Wade, 65, of Hometown, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the home of his daughter, surrounded by those he loved.
Mike was born December 28, 1960, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Joe and Marilyn Wade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Wade.
Mike retired from Tri-State Gaming Center after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—playing cards with his friends, tossing horseshoes on a warm afternoon, and most of all, spending time with his grandbabies. His laughter, steady presence, and love for his family will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mrs. Sandy Wade; his children, Kenneth Wade, Joseph Wade, Kari (Mathew Dixon) Wade, and Bethany (Jeremy Jeffers) Blankenship; his cherished grandchildren, Devon Blankenship, Lani Blankenship, Brooklyn Blankenship, and Amelia Jeffers; his sister, Stacy Wade Ritchie; his niece, Morgan Wade; and his brother-in-law, Richard (Cathy Lynch) Lester.
At Mike’s request, there will be no services. A private burial will be held at Haven of Rest Memory Gardens.
Mike’s memory will live on in the stories shared around card tables, in the echo of horseshoes ringing against a post, and in the hearts of the family he loved so dearly.
