Londers Leon Schoolcraft, 65, of Charleston passed away on March 3, 2026.

Born on October 3, 1960, Londers lived a life defined by service, loyalty, and love for his country. A proud veteran, he honorably served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. During his military career he was deployed to Grenada and Desert Storm, and he carried great pride in having served his nation. The military life shaped who he was, and being a veteran was one of the honors he cherished most.

Londers enjoyed traveling and especially loved the ocean. Throughout his life he had the opportunity to live in many different places and countries, experiences that added to his adventurous spirit and the stories he loved to share. He was known for being straightforward, a natural jokester, and someone who easily made friends wherever he went.

One of the greatest joys in his life was his beloved fur baby, Ranger, who was a constant companion and the center of his daily life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emoline Hann and Opie Schoolcraft; his brother, Michael Schoolcraft; and his nephew, Lamar Schoolcraft.

Londers is survived by his former spouse and devoted live-in caregiver, Charlotte Renner of Charleston, West Virginia; sisters Teresa (Eddie) Padgett of Ballground, Georgia and Robin (Matthew) Falls of Elkview, West Virginia; brothers Dennis Schoolcraft of Atlanta, Georgia and Todd Schoolcraft of Atlanta, Georgia; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Peak Living Services in care of Bruce at 304-444-2233.

Londers’ love will outshine the memories he leaves behind.

We love you.
