Leroy Abbott, 69, of Eskdale, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Division.
Leroy was a retired truck driver, and he enjoyed the freedom of the open highway and carried that same love for adventure into his personal life. Leroy loved riding motorcycles and spending time running the mountains in his Jeep, where he felt most at peace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “Fats” Abbott and Faustine “Teenie” Abbott; and his brother, Clarence “Peanut” Abbott.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda Abbott; his son, Lee Roy Abbott; his dear friend and cousin, Carol (Jim) Arthur; his brother-outlaw, John (Wendy) Howe; and his closest companions, Baby Girl, Annie, and Charlie “Killer Puppy,” who held a special place in his heart.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing team at CAMC Memorial CPICU for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Leroy and his family.
In accordance with Leroy’s wishes, there will be no services, and the family respectfully asks for privacy during this time.
