Kyle Brent Spradling, 80, of Clendenin, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away, with his devoted wife by his side, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

He was a 1963 graduate of Elkview High School, a 1977 graduate of Morris Harvey College, was President of Appalachian Design Group, and served his country in the West Virginia Air National Guard, 130th Special Operations Group, 167th Weather Flight.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Phyllis Spradling, his grandparents, Ira and Gladys Baxter, and Albert and Minnie Spradling.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Larch Spradling, daughter Heather (Dennis) Dolin, grandchildren Eli and Mason Dolin, brother Cris (Beth) Spradling and sisters Beverly Shock and Debra Spradling.

He was a member of the Elmore Advent Christian Church for many years where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.

He was very creative, artistic, and thought outside-the-box in all his endeavors. His senior year of high school, he won State honors having constructed a “Liquid Laser” for his triple-prize-winning Science Fair Project. His “BOSS 1998″ article was accepted and published in the Plan and Print Magazine for design and reproduction management.

He had compassion and affection for animals needing a home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association.

The service will begin at 12:00pm, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Todorovich officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 11:00am – 12:00pm at the funeral home.
