David “Dave” Larry Miller, 77, of Charleston passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 CAMC Memorial, Charleston.
He worked for the Kanawha County Board of Education for 44 years. Dave, taught at Ripley High School, Sissonville Junior High School, where he coached baseball; Stonewall Jackson, where he taught drafting, coached baseball and wrestling. Later in his career he served as Vice-Principal at Lincoln Junior High, Stonewall Junior High, Roosevelt Junior High, Capital High School and Principal at Dupont Middle School.
He preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Miller and Ella Justice Miller, brother, Milton; sister, Nancy Campbell Vanmeter.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Cindy Feazell Miller; children, Jodi Miller of St. Albans; Megan Sharp and husband J.R. Sharp of Charleston, Jamie Miller of Charleston, grandchildren, Chandler and Carter Sharp; his beloved dog, Millie. Also surviving one brother and two sisters.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy Mclennan of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., brother-in-laws, Frank Feazell of Cross Lanes, Joe Feazell of Raleigh, NC, several loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 8:00 pm at Capital High School on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, with a visitation from 5pm-8pm at the School.
