Bernard Eugene Smith, 73, of Clendenin, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 3, 2026, surrounded by his wife and children.
He is rejoicing in Heaven with his children, Erica Ann, Jamie Lee, and Nathan Allan Smith. He has been reunited with his sisters and brothers.
Bernard was the loving husband of Susan Smith of Clendenin.
Bernard loved using his hands to help others, especially, doing home repairs. He was a kind and compassionate Christian.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Susan Smith; daughter, Stacy D (Scott) and Adam E. (Jamie); grandchildren, Brad Surface, Dylan Surface, Mackenzie Orcutt, Dominik King, Keller Smith, Karter Smith, and Kennedy Smith; 6 great grandchildren; and his only remaining sister, Betty Koontz.
To honor his wishes, he will be cremated.
