Gary Edmond “Eddie” Duffey II, 55, left this world unexpectedly on May 31, 2026, at his home – a place he loved and found peace.

Eddie lived with a spirit built for the outdoors. Whether he was hiking a trail, skiing down a mountain, or riding his bike toward the next horizon, he carried a sense of wonder everywhere he went. But the adventures he treasured most were the ones shared with family.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Eddie served as a navigator aboard the USS Trenton, earning an honorable discharge. He later completed his degree in Biology, guided not by the pursuit of wealth but by a deep love of learning. His true legacy is found in his wisdom, integrity and the quiet strength he offered to everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Duffey; his grandparents, Esmond and Lula Duffey and John and Ollie Stone.

Left to honor his memory are his mother, Betty Duffey; his brothers, John and Shane and his nephews, Shane (Jessica), Blake, Maddox, Owen and Mason. Eddie held a special place in his heart for Lil Shane and Blake, encouraging them, guiding them and loving them without condition.

Eddie’s life was a testament to kindness, curiosity, and the simple beauty of caring for others.

In keeping with Gary’s request, his cremation wishes will be honored and there will be no services.
