Mr. Manford Volley “Manny” Moles, 86, of Liberty, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Manny was a retired logger who spent his life working hard and providing for his family. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, serving as a deacon at Paradise Bible Church and as a member of Victory Baptist Church in Okeechobee, Florida. In his spare time, Manny enjoyed golfing with his sons, fishing, and reading his Bible. He will be remembered for his strong faith, his love for his family, and his kind and gentle spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Alberta Moles; all of his siblings; his son, Charlie Absten; and his grandson, Michael Moles.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 51 years, Norma Absten Moles; his children, Stanley Moles, Gene Moles, Tony (Sandy) Moles, and Darlena Walters; his grandchildren, Nathan Moles, Mandy Moles, Tyler Moles, Adam Walters, Brandon Walters, Kaitlyn (Ben) Garlick, and Cecilia (Marcus) Matthews; and his great-granddaughter, Aspen Walters. He also leaves behind many extended family members, church family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at Cabell Huntington Hospital for the compassionate and exceptional care provided to Manny during his time there.
A tribute to the life of Mr. Manford “Manny” Moles will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Doug McComas and Paul Browning officiating. Burial will follow in New Antioch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at home with his Lord and Savior.
