Mrs. Carolyn Sue Taylor, 71, of Gandeeville, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Division.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a former employee of CAMC Memorial, Spencer State Hospital, and the United States Postal Service. She cherished her family above all else, especially her grandchildren, who brought her great joy. Carolyn also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and camping with her family, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sybil Parsons; her son, Gary Lee Taylor; and her siblings, Bonnie Parsons, James Parsons, Donna Parker, and Jerry Parsons.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, Gary D. Taylor; her sons, Sean Taylor and Larry Taylor; her brother, David Parsons; her sisters, Beulah Evans and Betty Cavender; her grandchildren, Amber, Sara, Emily, Brianna, Destiney, Autumn, Addie, Kayla, Kameron, and James David; her great-grandchildren, Weston, Okleigh, and Kennith; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A Tribute to the Life of Mrs. Carolyn Sue Taylor will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 2469 Ambler Ridge Road, Walton, WV 25286, with Pastor Jonathan Harper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Carolyn’s love, kindness, and dedication to her family will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.
