Larry E. Slate 78, of Hugheston, WV passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at CAMC General Division Charleston, WV after a short illness.
Larry was a retired Coal Miner from Valley Camp Coal Co. with over 20 years of service.
Surviving wife, Lana J. and sons, Kevin (Casandra) and Daniel Slate; 6-grandchildren; 3-sisters, Susan Wright, Barbara Pennington, and Connie Hughes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, July 10th, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Glasgow, WV 25086 with Pastor Gary Tucker officiating.
Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove is in charge of arrangements.
