Mrs. Betty Lou Moore, 84, of Leon, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, in the Hubbard Hospice House.
Betty was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She found joy in quilting and sewing, talents she shared through the many pieces lovingly made for those she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos A. Moore, Sr., and her sisters, Juanita, Barbara, Dottie, and Rosie.
She is survived by her children, Carlos “Punky” Moore, Jr.; Pam (Danny) Pinkelton; Cathy Barnes; David (Ina) Moore; Debbie (Brooks Milam) Moore; Timothy Moore; Kay (Scot) Fisher; Brian Moore; and Elizabeth Moore; her sisters, Ethel and Linda; her brothers, Richard and Denzil; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help cover expenses.
A tribute to the life of Mrs. Moore will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Aaron Karr officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
