Odis “Bud” Anderson Lowther, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Elizabeth Care Center in Wirt County, with family by his side.
Bud was born on October 14, 1930, in Gilmer County, WV, to the late Ordie Lowther and Oleta Collins Lowther. He was a WWII Veteran and a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed camping, crafting, classic country music, riding his Harley, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, Bob Lowther, of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lowther; two brothers, Coye Lowther and Cecil Lowther; three sisters, Ruth Lowther Meadows, Sylvia Lowther Meadows, and Joann Lowther Johnson Jenkins; one nephew, Roger Meadows; two great nephews, Shane Hacker and David Miller; and one very special niece, Patricia Nida.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market St., Grantsville, WV.
