Kenneth “Kenny” LeRoy Mellert, Jr., 78, of Cross Lanes passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Born on January 13, 1948, at Dunbar to the late Kenneth LeRoy Mellert, Sr., and Frances Ann Janney. He was a member of the U.S. Navy and retired from the Millwright Local Union 1755, where he worked as a Millwright. He enjoyed golfing, going to WVU games and beach trips.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by sisters, Cynthia Ann Mellert Spinks and Linda Jean Mullins (Mellert).
Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancé of 19 years, Tina Marie Croson; a son, Kenneth Andrew “Andy” Mellert and wife, April; one grandson, Weston Edward Mellert; and a brother, Patrick Huffman of Charlotte, NC.
At his request there will be no services.
