Peggy Lynn Brinegar Hodge, 71, of Cross Lanes, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, in the Hubbard Hospice House.

Peggy was formerly of Cabin Creek and a graduate of East Bank High School. She retired from Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) and was also a former beautician. Peggy was a faithful member of Rand First Church of the Nazarene. She was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan and dearly loved her dogs, who brought her much comfort and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Kathleen Brinegar; her sister, Margaret Connell; and her grandson, Andrew Hodge.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Lonnie Hodge and Billy Hodge; her sisters, Phyllis Strickland, Shelby Johnson, and Kathy Henderson; her grandchildren, Hannah, Shelby, and Hunter; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A tribute to the life of Peggy will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Herman Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
