Robert Dennis Edens, Sr. (Slim), 82, of Amma, WV, went home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.
He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on March 10, 1943, a son of the late William Arthur Edens, Sr. and Helena Marie Tyler Edens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Arthur Edens, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Edens; brother, Allen Edens (Brenda), daughter, Lisa Ann Sloan (Danny), son, Bobby Edens, Jr., grandchildren,
Brittany Ann Cavender (Kenneth), Rebecca Vaughn Westfall (Matthew), Tyler Amos Edens, and Jeffrey Daniel Sloan (Melissa), and four great-grandchildren.
Slim was a loving husband of 61 years to his wife Ann, and a devoted father, grandfather and friend to many. He proudly served in the United States Army and was the Acting Deacon and longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church in Amma, WV.
A graveside service will be held at Amma Cemetery, Pine Grove Rd., Amma, WV, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., with Kevin Norvell officiating. Online condolences can be shared with the Edens family at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
