Betty Ann Wartenburg, 92, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, humor, love of nature and boundless curiosity that touched all who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, George and Velma; her husband Russell; and sons Gary, Shird Von, and Donald.

She is survived by her children: Brenda, Carol, Pamela, Russell, Ronald, Anthony, and Kim. Her family also includes many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Betty never stopped guiding her family with love, wisdom, and unwavering support. A devoted mother, Betty dedicated her life to the well-being of her children. She held her family close to her heart, and they were the joy of her life.

She spent many years at Union Carbide, where she built a career she loved. After retirement, she never stopped working in one sense or another—her hands and her mind were always busy with purpose. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her decisions and giving her strength through every season. Betty instilled the profound importance of faith and respect into her children and grandchildren, teaching them by example to live with integrity, kindness, and devotion to family and community.

Betty had a deep love for history and genealogy, spending countless hours tracing family histories and preserving the stories of those who came before. In this way, she was both a keeper of the past and a bridge to the future. Remarkably, even at 92, she embraced technology with an open and eager mind, never losing the curiosity that made her such a vibrant presence.

Betty was a blessing and deeply loved by family and friends. She has been reunited with her heavenly family and will be deeply missed.

A tribute to the life of Betty will be 11:00 AM Saturday February 28, 2026 at Cunningham Memorial Park with Pastor Brian Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the memorial park.
