Nancy Lynn Copen, 78, of Charleston entered into the haven of rest on March 5th, 2026, and is awaiting the Lord’s return.
She was born in Charleston to her late parents, Ernest, and Elvie Canterbury. Nancy was also preceded in death by her husband, Gary Copen, and her daughter, Molly Copen.
Nancy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long time-member and secretary of the Elk Valley Advent Christian Church. She retired from Bell Atlantic after a long career. Nancy was a strong Christian woman and will be remembered by her friends and family for her love of Jesus Christ.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Brad Copen (Heather), and Seth Copen; grandson Parker Copen; step grandchildren, Kenzie, Mason and Cadyn; sister in laws, Maraella Lee Copen and Corky Edens; nieces, Kathy, Kelley, and Carla; nephew, John.
A service will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Todorovich officiating.
Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park in Big Chimney.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston, WV.
