Glenn Edward (Big Daddy) Huffman, 77, of Chelyan, WV, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, surrounded by family. Glenn was a strong, proud man who lived life his way. He was a hard worker, but always made time to have fun and enjoy life. Glenn was born on March 23, 1948, in Chelyan. He graduated from East Bank High School in 1966, and retired from Union Carbide (Bayer) after working 38 years as an Electrician/Instrument Mechanic. He married his soulmate Karen Boroff on Oct 30, 1970. He loved to tell everyone that he got tricked while she got the treat. Glenn loved spending time with his friends, going hunting, watching Nascar races and attending WVU football games.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Huffman, his sister Koneta Hessling, and many close friends. He his survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Karen; children Nancy Crum, Heather Huffman, and Heath Huffman (Mary); sister Karan Arnold and brother Greg Huffman (Carol); grandchildren Johnathan Crum (Brittany), Austin Crum (Katie), Kyle Crum, Wyatt Huffman (Katie), Kailey Huffman, Lacey Huffman, and Seth Cavendish (Brittany); and great grandchildren Alayna Crum and Hayes Huffman. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice care in his name.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelations, 21:4.

Visitation at Chelyan Journey of Faith will be Sunday, March 22, from 2-3pm, with services immediately following.
