James Lawrence Tanner, Jr., 74, of Charleston departed this life Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Hubbard Hospice House.
He was born September 19, 1951 in Charleston, WV. Son of the late, James Lawrence Tanner, Sr., and Nancy (Foster) Wolcott. Also preceding him in death are six siblings, Joseph Stephen Tanner, Rhonda Lynn Tanner, John Michael Tanner, Regina Victoria Galaska, Okey Lee Tanner and Jeremy Nicholas Tanner.
James was a retired factory worker.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, April; siblings, Sherry Elaine Vukoder, Vanessa Ann Tanner and Helen Christine Tanner as well as a host of other family and friends.
Cremation has been observed and a small family service will be held at a later date.
Good Shepherd Mortuary, 335 Fifth Avenue, South Charleston, WV 25303 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
