Mr. Roger Allen Skaggs, 72, of Nitro and formerly of Oceana, passed away April 28, 2026.
Roger was a 1971 graduate of Oceana High School. He retired from Lowes and was formerly employed as a truck driver for Boxley. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Filmore and Helen Skaggs.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Jennifer (John) Boggess; grandchildren, Ben (Mariah) Boggess, Emily (Chad) Morris, Jeffrey (Madeline) Boggess, and John Boggess, Jr.; four great-grandchildren; and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
At his request, there will be no services.
