Linda Lee Scruggs, 81, of Winifrede passed away April 30, 2026 at home.
She was a retired assistant manager with Lowes for 30 years and a member of the gospel singing group Gethsemane Trio in the 1970s. Her favorite ‘hobby’ was being around her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Linda enjoyed her outings to WVU Football games with her husband and family for nearly 10 years. She was known for her unwavering support and generous heart whose kindness touched everyone she met. Her love was constant, unconditional and she gave it freely. She will be deeply missed forever and remembered with love.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard Scruggs; parents, Brooks and O’Dell Flanagan; brothers, Mike Flanagan, Floyd Flanagan; sister, Pat Flanagan-Connard; grandson, Zachary Scruggs and daughter-in-law, Robin Scruggs.
Surviving are her sons, William Richard Scruggs (Kimberly, fiancée and caregiver to Linda) of Winifrede, Charles ‘Chuck’ Scruggs (Joy) of Hurricane, Samuel Keith Scruggs (Tonya) of Dunbar; sister, Diane Hughart of Ripley; brother-in-law, Ray Connard of Virginia; grandchildren, Thomas Dornsife, J.R. Scruggs (Rachel Mooney), Justin Scruggs (Kevin), Griffin Scruggs, Paige Scruggs; great grandchildren, Ethan Scruggs, Liam Scruggs, Alaina, Avery and Draven Dornsife and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services and interment will be held in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
