Tamara ‘Tammy’ Hicks, 62, of Belle passed away May 11, 2026.
Tammy has officially left the building, though true to form, she probably tried to stay for ‘just one more’ before heading out.
Born in 1963, Tammy spent decades mastering the art of the encode. Whether it was one more story, one more song, one more laugh or most famously one more ‘Bud’, she never wanted the good times to end. She lived her life like the best kind of party; loud, warm and always running a little bit behind schedule because she was too busy enjoying the person right in front of her.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Leslie Pettry and parents, Robert and Patricia Conley Hicks.
Surviving are her sons, Michael (Julie) Hicks of Charleston, Robert Hicks of Belle, Kevin (Shanna) Hicks of Belle; sister, Teresa (Steve) Short of Belle; grandchildren, Gracie and Levi Hicks and her beloved dog, Brownie.
Tammy will be cremated and there will be no services per her wishes.
