Flora Parmalee (Pon) Young, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on June 15, 2026.
Born on April 28, 1945, she was preceded in death by her parents – Russell and Fannie Hudnall, her brothers Gayle Hudnall, Lloyd Hudnall, sister Madge Harrell. Pon is survived by her sister Carolyn Stone (Steve), her husband Richard Young, son Rick Young, daughter Dianna Young of Tennessee, grandkids, Brianna Ison (Jessie) of Tennessee, Dustin Young of Glasgow, Ethan Ison of Kentucky. Great grandkids Oaklee and Jersee Young. And a host of other family members and friends.
She was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School class of 1964. She was a member of Hughes Creek Community Church.
Visitation will be at Cooke Funeral Home 600 Old Fort St. Cedar Grove, WV 25039 on Thursday, June 18,2026 from 11:00am-1:00pm, following services from 1:00pm-2:00pm officiated by Pastor Gary Tucker. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Glasgow, WV 25086. Cooke Funeral Home Cedar Grove is serving the Young family.
