Larry David “Eggy” Shiltz, 85, of Bancroft passed away peacefully to his Heavenly home on June 15, 2026.

Born up Plymouth Hollow at the mouth of Alphie Hollow near Scouts Pool on December 4, 1940 to his parents, Arnold and Marie (Persinger) Shiltz.

Larry was a resident of Plymouth until 1952 when then moved to Bancroft until his passing.

Larry proudly served in the US Military as an Army Scout in the Korean War. After an Honorable Discharge from the Army, Larry was a Boiler Welder for Viscose in Nitro and a welder for Unit Rig and a Machinist for Chem Valley Machine.

What Larry enjoyed the most was building precision bench rest rifles and building and racing drag race cars. Larry raced drag cars from the mid 1970’s until 2019 when his long-time racing buddy, Joe Holloway, passed away.

Larry leaves behind a host of friends, racing buddies and 2 cherished friends, Judy Bayless and Dennis Arthur and his beloved cat, Daisy.

At Larry’s request there will be no funeral services.
