David Sullivan Balderson, 81, of Huntington, departed this life Friday, July 24, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 27, 1944 in St. Albans, WV. Son of the late, Aubrey Benjamin and Ruby Bliss (Broyles) Balderson. Also preceding him in death are sisters, Barbara Watts and Carolyn Ferguson Rudolph.
David grew up in South Charleston and Scott Depot. He was a graduate of Winfield High School and Marshall University. He worked his entire life in the chemical industry retiring from Rhone-Poulenc and Bayer in St. Louis, Missouri. David was an avid pool player and spent many years playing with the 21 Pool Room team and traveling to Las Vegas to compete in nationwide tournaments.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving children, Lisa Lenora Balderson, David Andrew Balderson and Lori Balderson Laudel (William); brother, Phillip Balderson (Mary Jane); grandchildren, Aubrey Laudel (Chase Roedel), Lilijana Zecevic Walker (Brandon), Gwendolyn Laudel and Joseph Zecevic; great grandchild, Benjamin David Walker.
