Belva “Cricket” Martin, 94, of Elkview, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 1,

2026, at home surrounded by the love of her family.

Cricket was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Charles, of 69 years. Together

hymns she loved at church and home. Cricket was the heart of her family and found her

greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles, and her parents,

Llewlyn Holcomb and Lola.

She is survived by her sister, Thelma Harding; daughters, Julie White and Nancy

Kimble; grandchildren, Rick White, Joseph White (Cyndi), Trae White, Tara Hicks (Duane),

Courtney Shamblin (Brent); great-grandchildren Brittney Sparkman (Michael), Ashley

White, Dominick White, Payten Elkins, Bayleigh Elkins, and Haley Hinchman (Cody); as

well as great-great-grandchildren Silas Sparkman, Forest Sparkman, Addison Hinchman,
