Kenneth “Kenny” Hale Birthisel, 87, of Elkview, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Helen Birthisel; and brothers, Keith Birthisel and Stephen Birthisel.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a faithful Christian and member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Fishing was his favorite pastime.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mildred “Millie” Birthisel; children, Kenneth G. Birthisel & Christina Raines & Cynthia; grandchildren, Amber & Joshua Birthisel, Steven McLaughlin, Shannon Toler, Matthew Raines, and Makala Jones; and several great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin 1:00pm, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Susan Jones and Pastor Doug Edens officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
