Sandra Kay “Sandy” Newhouse, age 68, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Charleston, West Virginia, after a long-term illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy was a longtime resident of Charleston, West Virginia, and a proud graduate of Sissonville High School. She worked for many years at Thomas Hospital in the laundry department alongside her mother, a time she spoke of fondly. She later became a dedicated homemaker, devoting her life to caring for her children and creating a home filled with love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Pritt; mother, Bonnie Pritt (Nester); and her beloved sister, Lora Mullins.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Raymond Newhouse; her daughters, Gina, Kayla, and Connie; and her son, Chris Newhouse. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren—granddaughters, Brittany, Kaleigha, Karina, and Khaleesi; grandsons “Little” Chris, Cody, and Adrian—and her treasured great-granddaughter, Armani. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Sandy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She especially loved trips to the beach, where she found peace and happiness by the water. Her kindness, quiet strength, and deep love for her family will be remembered always.
