Betty Ruth Short, 88, of Belle passed away January 27, 2026 at CAMC General Hospital following a long illness.
She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Alma Kincaid Terry; sister, Juanita Johnson and brother, Edward Terry.
Surviving are her husband, Herbert E. Short; son, Mark Short of Dunbar, Larry Short of Glasgow; brother, Cecil Terry (Grace) of South Charleston; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Noon, January 31, 2026 at Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle with Pastor Roy Short officiating. Interment will follow in Witcher Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday.
