Deltha Lovejoy, 84, of Nitro, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026. She was born on March 23, 1941, to the late George and Minnie Harper.
In addition to her parents, Deltha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dorsel D. Lovejoy.
Deltha was a devoted Christian and faithfully attended Raymond City Community Church. She found joy in life’s simple blessings—sitting on her front porch watching the birds, planting flowers, and spending cherished time with her family. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two children, Sherry (Bob) Welch and Randy (Kristy) Lovejoy; her sister, Mary Priddy; five grandchildren, Miranda (David) Childers, Brittany Lovejoy, Kelsey Lovejoy (Jake Tucker), Derrick Lovejoy, and April Lacy; and one great-granddaughter, Kara (Jacob) Griffy.
A service to honor Deltha’s life will be held at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
