Mary Lou (Newhouse) King, 84, of Charleston gained her wings and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was a homemaker and a member of the former Bible Baptist Church in Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buzzy King.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Joe King (Marsha), Ronald King and Carol Sue Shelton (Phil); grandchildren, Jennifer Duffield (Ryan), Jessica McKinney (Devin), Ashley Thaxton, Jeremy Martin and Curry Daniel Davis; great grandchildren, Nolan, Lexi, Silas, Kian, Hailey, Brooklynn, Lukas and Addeline.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Tammy Stewart for being a long-life friend.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM., Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston. Mary will be laid to rest with her husband in Cunningham Memorial Park following the services.
Family and friends will gather for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.
Good Shepherd Mortuary, 335 Fifth Avenue, South Charleston, WV 25303 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
