Mary Katherlyn Jarvis, 64, of Wallback, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 11, 1961, at Harmony, WV, a daughter of the late Willis and Lola Jean Hicks Jarvis.
She was an active member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Maysel, WV. Mary was a faithful example of Christ’s love. She displayed grace, wisdom, kindness, strength, and obedience. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and church members. Heaven has received another angel!
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by nephews Robert Jarvis, Jr. and Quentin Nelson.
Left to cherish Mary’s memory are her siblings Robert Jarvis (Lena), Charles Jarvis, Victor Jarvis (Brenda), Martha Jarvis, Norma Jarvis, Wilma King (Roy), Linda Jarvis, Janet O’Dell (John), and Willie Jarvis (Joann). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as her friends. Among many is cousin, Katy Gross.
Mary’s family would like to thank the staff of Clay Senior and Community Services, as well as all who sent Mary gifts and kept her in their prayers.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 1440 Arnoldsburg Road, Arnoldsburg, WV, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Clifford Samples officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Hicks Cemetery, Little White Oak Rd., Chloe, WV.
