Frederick Daniel Smith, 52, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, passed away on April 13, 2026, at Camden Clark Hospital due to complications from kidney failure and dialysis. He was born on October 12, 1973.

Frederick was a devoted husband to his late wife, Chrystal Helen Smith, whom he loved dearly. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Autumn Danielle Smith (Darrell) of Looneyville, West Virginia, and a cherished grandfather to Lane Traub and Lakota Traub.

In his early years, Daniel had a passion for driving and spent time traveling cross-country as an 18-wheeler truck driver. He cherished the open road, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed making memories on family trips to Florida. Daniel was known for his warm heart, his sense of humor, and his ability to make anyone laugh—he truly never met a stranger.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Smith of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia; his brother, Ted Smith (Patty) of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia; his sister-in-law, Misty Robinson (Kevin) of DeKalb, Mississippi; and his beloved daughter, Autumn Danielle Smith. He was a cherished uncle to Russell Smith (Debbie), Erica Houchin, and Austin Robinson, and a great-uncle to many who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Leon Smith; his wife, Chrystal Helen Smith; and both sets of grandparents.

Frederick will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for his family, his laughter, and his kind spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

In keeping with his wishes, no public service will be held at this time.
