Charles Houston Harrah, 91, of Belle passed away April 25, 2026 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was a retired police officer for the Town of Belle, a former Kanawha County Deputy Sheriff, an United States Army Veteran and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Tracy Brown; sister, Alice Dowdy and parents, Hobert and Ruby Hypes Harrah.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Harrah; son, Jeff Harrah (Joyce) of Belle; step-sons, Thomas Cremeans (Elizabeth) of Campbells Creek, Tim Cremeans of Belle; daughter, Melissa Holstine (Larry) of Kanawha City; step-daughter, Connie Young of Belle; sisters, Faye Clatworthy of North Carolina, Charlotte Christwell of Texas and grandchildren, Josh Harrah, Colin Cremeans, Connor Young and Haley Cremeans.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery with Pastor Roy Short officiating.
In keeping with Charles’s requests his cremation wishes have been honored.
