Cledith “Bob” Herbert Caldwell passed away peacefully at the Hospice Hubbard House, on May 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength.

He was born on August 29,1942 in Charleston to parents Herbert and Zulia Caldwell. During his career, he owned 3 businesses, but his true passion was when he was on a pipeline operating heavy equipment.

An avid outdoorsman, Bob found joy in hunting and fishing. He shared that passion with those he loved, creating lasting memories and traditions that will continue for generations. But more than the love of the outdoors, he loved going to church, singing and serving the Lord, which is what he instilled in his family.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Sue Graham Caldwell, and his grandson, Michael Scott Pettry. He carried their memory with him always.

He is survived by his children from his beloved deceased wife Sharon; Peggy (Karl), Anita (Billy) and Bobby (Kristie) who will remember him for his love of being a dad and where he taught them work ethic and the life of Christ. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Tristen, Tanner, Peyton, Grayson, Kala, Tyler, and Brittany, as well as his great-grandchildren, McKinlee, Kennedy, Waylon, and Maislie.

He is survived by his wife of the last 16 years, Debbie Caldwell, whom he loved and cherished. Bob and Debbie attended Nebo Church together and will forever remember and cherish the testimonies he gave. He also leaves behind 4 stepchildren and grandchildren.

Bob will be remembered for quiet strength, his love for family, and the simple joys he found in life. His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the roots he planted within his family.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at Stump-Matics Funeral Home, 8539 Elk River Road North, Clendenin, West Virginia 25045, with Pastors Kenneth Tanner and David Bragg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the King Mullins Cemetery, Bomont, WV. Fond memories and words of condolence can be shared with the Caldwell family at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
