Louie Roger Baldwin

Louie Roger Baldwin, 77, of Sissonville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Clark’s Christian Home in East Bank, WV.

He is predeceased by his father, Haskel Baldwin and mother, Dolly Faye Shaffer Baldwin. He is also predeceased by his brothers, George, Jerry and David Baldwin.

He is survived by his brothers, Raymond (Janet Sue) Baldwin and Tim (Shari) Baldwin, and his sister, Sharon Jones, all of Sissonville, as well as his nephews, Eric Baldwin, Brandon Baldwin, Chadwick Baldwin and Shawn Baldwin and niece, Angie Baldwin Derrick. He was also blessed with several other nephews and nieces.

Louis was a lifelong resident of the Sissonville area. He will be remembered as a devoted brother and uncle who valued family. He also loved baseball and, in his youth, played extensively. He was fan of NASCAR, but his true love was hunting in the West Virginia woods around his home and was passionate about hunting deer. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veracious reader of the Bible, a gift taught to him by his mother, Dolly. Louis worked for the City of Charleston and retired with the position of Manager of the city’s recycling center.

A funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Sissonville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Hafer Funeral Home.
