Jerry “Joe” Walls
Jerry “Joe” Walls, 81, of Charleston, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2026, passing peacefully at home after a long illness.
Joe was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a talented musician, entrepreneur, an avid gardener, and enjoyed watching birds. He found joy in working with his hands and spending time outdoors. Joe will be remembered for his strong spirit, love for his family, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Thomas Walls; sister, Patsy Sue Brown; brother, James Larry Walls; step-brother, Delmer Gayle Salsbury; father, Elmer Wesley Walls; mother, Barbara Winterford Maynard; and grandchildren, Cody Walls and Jory Walls.
Joe is survived by his brothers, Lawrence Wesley Walls, Sr. (Paula) and Elmer Wesley Walls (Sheila); sister, Teresa Anderson; children, Lisa Dawn Walls, Jeffrey Allen Walls (Stephanie), Jerri Ann Clark, and Kasey Michael Walls (Teela); along with 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home
A service will be at 5:30 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026 with Pastor Kenneth Petry officiating.
