William Lonnie Davis, otherwise known as Billy, passed away peacefully in Charleston WV on June 14, 2026.
He was a resident of Dunbar WV but was born in Logan County on March 17, 1970. Billy spent much of his life moving from place to place spending much of his time in North Carolina and West Virginia.
In his teen and early adult years Billy spent time in Bands and was a drummer for many years, even as he got older, he was still known for his love of music.
Billy was known for being a social butterfly and being able to talk to all of those around him and never leaving anyone out of the conversation. Even later in life Billy never knew a stranger and stayed making friends with everyone around him.
Above all else Billy was known for his love of family and the love he had for his children. He is survived by Zachary Ronzo 35, Trenton Davis 25, Gavin Davis 23, and Dagan Davis 19.
He is additionally left behind his partner Amanda Ayers; his brother Mike Davis, his adopted brother Mark Eva, and his sister Lorrie Davis Acord. He was a proud father and grandfather. Nothing made him happier than family.
A tribute to the life of Billy will be 6:00 PM Thursday June 18, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
