Joel Marvin Rucker, 64, Sistersville, West Virginia, passed away after a long illness June 24,
2026 at WVU Wetzel County Hospital.
He was born in Charleston, WV, April 30, 1962 a son of the late Roy Marvin and Mary Katherine Elmore
Rucker.
He was a retired equipment operator for many years.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters Kathy L. Hiskey and Robin R. Kirk
and brothers Eric J. Rucker and Aaron Paul Rucker.
He is survived by daughter Jessica Woods (husband Billy R. Woods, Jr) of Clendenin, wife Tina
Rucker, brothers Larry A. Rucker of Walton, Sam Rucker of Trenton, GA, and Leslie W. Rucker of Elkview, WV. He also has 2
step-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Stump-Matics Funeral Home, 8539 Elk River Road North, Clendenin, WV, with Pastor Shawn Davis officiating.
