In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Lucy Cain, Alice Rau, and Abe Harris; her nephew, Jamie Cain; and her niece, Sarah Cain.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 50 years, Joe Pickering; her siblings, Renee Horton, Duane Cain, and James (Tara) Cain; her nieces and nephews, Robert (Kaitlyn) Horton, Matison Cain, Dylan Cain, and Rachel Cain; and her beloved great-nieces, Charlotte and Emerson Horton, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel.
