Betty Delores (Young) Vance, 94, of Charleston, departed this life Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Cedar Ridge Center.
She was born July 25, 1931 in Kincaid, WV. Daughter of the late, Richard Lee and Nineva Omeda (Payne) Young. Also preceding her in death are her beloved husband, Ralph Vance; daughter, Debra Ann Bays; two brothers and two sisters.
Betty was a clerk for the State of West Virginia Workers Comp Division.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Ralph “Glenn” Vance (Tina), Terrie Kosko (Jim), Nona Fouty (Chuck), Jon Vance (Martha) and Jim Vance (Kelly); 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.
Cremation has been observed and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM., Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the River Ridge Church 2090 Greenbrier Street, Charleston, WV 25311 with minister Chris Braschler officiating. Betty will be laid to rest in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston following the service.
