Mrs. Vickie Lynn Bowman, 71, of Cross Lanes, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at WVU Thomas Hospital.
Vickie dedicated more than 40 years of her life as a caregiver, touching countless lives with her compassion and kindness. She found joy in crocheting, tending to her flowers and garden, collecting porcelain dolls, and caring for animals. An exceptional cook, Vickie especially loved preparing meals for those she loved most. Above all, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, who meant everything to her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Ray Bowman; her mother, Evelyn Cotton; and her grandson, Bubby Reynolds.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tonya (Bo) Christian, Lisa Bowman, Chrissy Davis, and Trina Sigmon; her son, Danny Bowman; her brother, John (Francis) Rentz; her sister, Bev Rentz; her nephew, Donny (Denise) Rentz; her niece, Carrie Rentz; 13 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the ICU staff at WVU Thomas Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Vickie during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses by selecting the Tribute Fund tab.
In accordance with Vickie’s wishes, there will be no services.
