Sandra Irene Sloan, 77, of Amma, WV, went to her heavenly home on Friday, July 31, 2026.
Those of us left are sad, but she is now made whole. Sandy was married to David Sloan for 59 years and was mother to Valerie (Jeff) Mace of Amma and Kimberly (Michael) Holland of Ripley. She was “Mamaw” to Olivia Mace of Pittsburgh, PA, Nathan Holland of Ripley, Jackson Mace, and Allie Mace both of Morgantown.
Sandy was a Christian and attended Rolling Hills Church. Sandy always had a big smile and warm greeting for everyone she met or ran into. She spent her life as a loving housewife and caregiver for her family. She especially enjoyed supporting and caring for her 4 grandchildren.
Sandra was born in 1948 to Amos and Dorothy Mullins, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by sisters Carolyn Carper and Brenda Cavender.
She is survived by siblings-Jim Taylor, Mary Lou Brown, Venida (Pete) Hauser, Drema Herwig, Wayne Mullins, Linda Mullins, and Terry Mullins, as well as many beloved extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Stump-Matics Funeral Home, 8539 Elk River Road North, Clendenin, WV, on Monday August 3, 2026. Visitation will be from 5-6 P.M. with the funeral following conducted by Pastor Matt Tallman. Considering Sandy’s love of children; in lieu of flowers donations can be made to WVU Children’s Hospital.
